JumpStart Matrix has 3 different Plans that encompass different levels of monthly website maintenance: StartUp, Business and Enterprise
The process of site optimisation also includes compressing images.
Digital images need a large storage capacity, as a result they need a large bandwidth for data transmission, to deliver to the desired destination over the network.
We not only reduce the size of stored data, but also maintain as much as possible the output image quality.
What is Basic Image Compression – and why is it needed?
Images can occupy a lot of space, which can cause the website to operate slowly. Page Load time is important to Google and your Visitors
We choose the right image file format, image compression rate and dimensions to reduce the image size by up to 80%, to optimise images specifically for your website/theme.
(Note- the Basic Image Compression Service is up to 50 images only)
- We use JPEGs for images with lots of colors, PNGs for simple images and GIFs for animated images.
- In basic image compression, we use web tools like TinyPNG or JPEG Mini for quick and easy image compression.
- For advanced image compression, use reputable and reliable image editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, GIMP, On1 Photo and Affinity Photo to compress the images. Besides these image editing tools, we also have access to top WordPress plugins, such as Optimole, EWWW Image Optimizer and more for automatic compression of images.
- We also change the image dimensions to something more reasonable that looks good and doesn’t affect your website’s performance.
The Yoast SEO team have succinctly explained why adding images and optimising them is desirable:
“Images, when used correctly, will help readers better understand your article.
The old saying “A picture is worth a thousand words” probably doesn’t apply to Google, but it’s certainly true when you need to spice up 1,000 dull words, illustrate what you mean in a chart or data flow diagram, or just make your social media posts more enticing
It’s a simple recommendation: add images to every article you write to make them more appealing.
What’s more, since visual search is getting increasingly important — as seen in Google’s vision for the future of search — it could turn out to provide you with a nice bit of traffic. And if you have visual content it makes sense to put image SEO a bit higher on your to-do list”
